I DiD It My Way~

1st up is to express my amazement that, little she-demon, or The Brat (TB), age 2 and a half, is capable of self taking pix from my camera phone, completed with cheeky look and decorative victory sign. i believe she is the only female so far that i've seen who looks adorable when photographed without make-up. it's great to be a kid, whether or not if u are a TB. if u make mistakes, all it takes to be forgiven is The Innocent Look or a cute antic. Try doing that the next time u screw up something. i believe you will receive 2 tight slaps instead.

yeah.. was sick from sun till now. coughing my freaking lungs out and all that sick crap. this is what i get for doing my gf-ly duty of nursing The Bf back to health and in return, this. i am convinced as i am typing these words, more than 90% of the tiny air sacs inside my lungs, known as alveoli, had already burst and ruptured due to pressures resulted by incessantly coughing and as i sleep tonight, i might never wake up tmr. no amount of strepsils, slowly being dissolved in mouth every 2-3 hours, with cautiousness not to exceed the above mentioned dosage, is able to relieve me so far. i only feel like saying one thing, that is, i feel like smoking.

anyway, i should look at life on the bright side eh. for eg, right now, my life is like this:
raining so hard that i can't see what's in store for me in front. and my hopes and dreams feel like this:The fallen flowers from a tree that littered the ground below. All withered and crushed under the feet of passerbys. ever heard of this chinese poem, with the last 2 ending lines:

Ye Lai Feng Yu Sheng

Hua Luo Zhi Dou Shao

my pix depicts these 2 lines well, doesn't it?

But yeah.. still, after the rain (speaking of which, it's raining a lot these days isn't it? the monsoon's here), this is what i can expect:

Awww.. doesn't the big shining sun just cheer everyone up? dun ask me what i was doing at that place, anyway..

so yup! now let's all be jolly.

anyway, went to vivocity (again). the last trip with shany's was rather rush and i didn't even get the chance to check out their outdoor area. so this time round, me and the bf, hand in hand, went about exploring together.

the day was rainy, wet and sunless. inside vivo, it was packed like mad as expected. i finally saw the 'traffic police' of vivo with my own eyes this time. they are in green with white helmet and shades, and walked around with signs that say 'SHOP'. that was hilarious. had a good laugh about it. the bf tot i'm crazy. he can't appreciate humour as much as i can.

and there were a few girls dressed up as angels with exaggerated make up, including ultra-long skywards stick-on lashes, completely white. the bf tot it would be funny to point out how tall these girls are.. nope, doesn't shake my self-esteem at all, buddy. try harder.

the outdoor area is so near the sea. actually have a real ship docked nearby. hello titanic! kidding. this one's doulos. apparently u can go up the ship and look around. there's actually a book sale going on right inside the ship and there are real crews too. suddenly feel like going for star cruise. i wanna go pull jackpot! heehee.. on the other sider there's a whole long line of pple queueing to board a boat. the bf said that boat goes to batam. never been there. is there any real, cheap fun available for those who are not there for the whoring? do let me know if u know.

i am soon bored of the outdoor and went back inside. it's time to look for food. i was starving. most of the restaurants are crowded and spotting long Qs and even fast foods and 2 foodcourts were full of pple. quite silly, actually. what's the point of opening a mega mall when u can't even provide enuff decent eating places for shoppers to dine in comfortably and not Q-ing endlessly or having to fight for seats with others? ended up we went to the food court at harbourfront (irony irony) where there are still seats available. big mistake.

wanted to eat steak so headed for western food stall.

me to counter girl: beef steak, middle rare. can add egg?

girl: erm.. cannot... very busy now... (note: there was no apology)

i mean... wtf.. no seriously.. WTF. i decidedly there and then that i did not wish to handle this as a meek, anything-goes customer so i let out an audible HuH!

girl gave me a weak look and as if using her gaze to beg me not to make a fuss outta it and jus accept the crap she just dropped on me. honestly, what's wrong with all these @$$holes.. i expect them to hug and kiss my feet simply for choosing to order from them (ok, kidding). but really lo.. some fuckers are really so obvious in their intention to just set up a biz and earn as much as they can w/o exercising any form of customer service. gone is the good old days of 'the customer is always right'. nowadays, it seems, it's more of 'buy if u want, fuck off if u dun' type of attitude, i tell u.

maybe u r telling me, what's the big deal? it's jus a stupid egg. 1stly, it's not just a stupid egg. fyi, i love eggs. i can eat eggs every day cooked in any way. so u c how impt eggs are to me? 2ndly, i dun see how cracking 1 egg onto the already sizzling hot cooking stove and then charging me 50cents for it is a difficult task bcoz 'they are busy'. if they were 'so busy' and self-impt to Not want to earn extra, why dun they just go home and play with their genitals instead of opening a food stall? fuckheads. make me all agitated and foul mouthed, a far cry from my usual gentle, classy self.

there was this one time, i went to a hawker centre western food store and asked for scrambled eggs instead of the sunny side ups shown on the pix. the hawker looked at me as if i had just grown a third eye on my forehead and told me can't do. why..why are singaporeans so inflexible?? is there only 1 road to rome?!!! i hate u all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the worst was not over. so apparently, the stupid girl whom i ordered from, shout out the the cook 'beef steak, middle' which i immediately corrected her it's 'middle RARE'. she repeated the order to the cook once again who didn't seem to respond to the correction and i deeply suspected the order was gonna come up as 'middle' instead of 'middle RARE'. and Surprise! i was right.

i am sick of being that everything's-ok customer, especially when I'M BLOODY PAYING FOR IT! hell am i gonna eat something which was not what i ordered and PAID FOR! i corrected her, and it's her own fault if she can't communicate those few simple words correctly. the cook had the guts to shoot me a dirty look AS IF I'M THE ONE TRYING TO MAKE THINGS HARD HERE.

to hell with them all.

when i complained to the bf, he dismissed my whining and said 'what do u expect, it's a food court'. men.

as if i should blame myself for choosing to eat here instead at the restaurants, i suppose. here i am, at a food court, hence i totally deserved to be treated like shit even though I PAY GOOD MONEY FOR THAT CRAP I ORDERED.

so now, just bcoz i'm paying $6.50 for the beef steak instead of $65 for a filet mignon at some fancy-pantsy high end place, it's ok to gimme attitude? that's great. i believe this is what GEMS is all about. i'm not attempting to pick a bone outta an egg about the doneness of my steak BUT it does make a difference to my palates, all right?

whatever. don't wanna talk about it no more in case i am being grossly mistaken as a unforgiving and ranting madwoman who goes on and on about an egg and how well she wants her steak to be cooked. i know what i can do to pacify myself. that is to imagine anyone who has offended to be one of these slimy yuckers...

A HA HA HA HA HA HA!!! There. Hell hath no fury like a woman's wrath. take that~!

sometimes i believe i am a psychopath. maybe gotta get my brain check. till then, take care and try not to offend anyone, especially one loaded with estrogen.

a little titbit for everyone. Enjoy~

Woo! it's sure been a while since i've updated my blog eh.. it's been like what? 2? 3wks? considered a rather lengthy amt of time (though i'm v confident that it is not as long as my best fren's... LoL~).

for a bummer like me who does not have to work her @$$ off for peanuts, i should be able to update more often isn't it? more about my bummer life later on.
Apology to the annoying cpanel popup thingy for the past few weeks. the tagboard was down and all. i followed the advice of my sweetie fren, dawny, and managed to get another tagboard up. do shout out to me, friends or foes, raves or rants. all are welcomed.
And oh, thank you shany for her rather lengthy comment left on my last entry. very well said about 'an enchanted life' and all. indeed you are well-deserving to be the queen of pensive tots. i almost always agree with your tots, woman *approval nod, suddenly feeling sentimental and emotional* Nvm, let the blogging goes on!

1st up! outstanding pix of me and shany at the very 'exciting' and very 'happening' ViVoCity! Weee!!!

my impression:
1) the place is huge. i mean, by sg shopping centres standards, vivo is like the palace of shopping centres in sg. biggest mall in sg, after all.

2) it's crowded. and i mean, like a gazillion pple per square feet or something. ok i'm kidding. but it's crowded. it didn't help that we went on a sunday. all sorta pple were there. we have the families, complete with running and screaming kiddoes, babies in prams, ah gongs ah mas and daddies mummies, the Couples which consist of lovebirds of all ages, the friends-outings, the ah bengs ah lians, and the Miss and Mr l-think-i-look-and-dress-like-supermodels-and-today-i-am-shopping-at-the-fab-vivocity hippies.
took a pix when travelling down the escalator to capture the crowd.

all i can say is i cannot see the start of the crowd at all. all up ahead was totally a sea of bobbing heads to me. and this was taken at the side escalator, mind you. i did travelled down the main ones right in the centre of the mega mall and was greeted with the sight of what i assumed to be 50% of the sg population.

3) vivocity is... just another shopping centre really. apart from its size and all the shoppers, thanks to widespread publicity and the lack of availability of entertainments in sg. most shops in vivo can be found in other places as well, only diff is those located in vivo are bloody huge and upsized. think Giant HYPERmart etc. make sense. cant be having midgets living in palace, can we?

didn't bother to take much pix of the place actually. was in foul mood walking around so much just to get from one place to another. that's a true singaporean for u. too small = nothing to see. too big = so much walking to do. yeah. i'm one sulky whiny 100% singaporean! haha~

i wasn't exactly there to do shopping that time due to recent serious lack of funds and hence am living on shoestring budget. shany wanna checked out this store, candy empire, so after much efforts and what i believe to be 3.2km later, we were there. the store was jam-packed with shoppers (surprise!) and i was pleasantly delighted to find that besides sweetstuffs, they actually have potato chips etc too. many of the products bear foreign brands (i believe from the states) and not those common ones we can find in ntuc or something. on the downside, many of the shelves are not stocked fully or none at all and a lot are not priced. shany asked if if i tot the shelves were empty bcoz they weren't stocked yet or did the products already flew off the shelves. good question, old girl. u might as well have asked me the age-old question instead: what do u think, reeny, that does the chicken come 1st or does the egg come 1st? to both questions, i would have been none the wiser, although deep in my little beating heart, i have always been on the chicken's side instead of the egg's. do ask me why the next time. i would like to explain to you the theory behind my belief.

but i digress. apology. so here's a pix of shany and me in a shot strategically self-taken to capture the store signboard. notice anything diff about me...??? *coy*

yeah.. i got bangs.. teehee *shy* i tot it made me schoolgirlish but shany said i look rather grown-up instead. surprise surprise.. and oh, shany got curls! curls! all nu qiang ren looking and all now isn't she? Awww~

we did not manage to have a decent sit-down meal at the many eating places and restaurants in vivo as we only had half hour to spare after leaving candy empire before our movie. hence i brilliantly suggested sneaking carl's jr in to snack in the cinema. the queue at carl's jr was ridiculously long. it's my 1st time eating. i can't believe the portions they're offering. who do they think they are feeding? pigs??? and i tot burger king's whopper was a huge mf size of a burger already... i ended up buying a bacon cheeseburger thingy with cheesy beef fries or something. long tedious names which i can't rem. i got full just by stuffing my face with the cheesy beef fries alone and brought home the cold cheeseburger as supper. Lovely.

madly self-taking pix to kill time while in the queue in carl's jr, ignoring the curious looks of others queueing. notice how shany's expressions look rather similar in all 3??? (so do i, actually... only know how to say pple but not ownself.. )LoL~

Hmmm.. i wonder why forever when shany and me take pix, our poses always look the same in every pix huh.. heehee.. lack of creativity! this was taken in the car in the carpark b4 we leave vivo. actually brazenly stopped quite in the middle of the carpark and started snapping away inside the car.. DuH.. :P

well, girls will be girls. ^_^

and oh, btw, your curls look good in this pix, woman. ;)

And... no relevance to the vivo trip but i would like to put up a huge pix of me and dearie.. we haven't been taking much pix these days, have we? Anata no koto ai shite iru yo ~

well! and now, gonna share some random pix of my everyday life. let's see what i've got here... hmmm...1st up: blogging for dummies! anyone's interested? spotted at orchard mrt's popular bookstore some time back.

Next, girl with red pumps spotted on bus. this is tricky.. on 1 hand, i totally agree red makes a girl really stands out but.. upon closer inspection of outfit, i'm not so sure if the red pumps is quite complimentary to her overall look.. it felt like an attempt to glamourise oneself gone wrong. i would love to hear comments from other girls.

Next. I dunno since when but i sorta develop an appreciation for clouds. and so...

I've got fluffy cottony clouds right here and...angry looking dark clouds, complete with a glimpse of the sun peeping out behind and...

of coz, rainy clouds. something about the rain falling onto the road, and all that trees and hdb flats behind make it a very nice pix to me.

ha ha i think is this funny.. mysterious single slipper found on the road. i believe some pple seen such things b4 and like me, we will all be wondering how the heck it ended up there. this was until, my wise fren, shany, enlightened me one fine day by relating this incident, if i rem correctly, she was driving (or were you just walking along the road or something?). nvm. the main thing is she saw this motorist on bike sorta just accidentally dropped his slipper. so there! now you know how a single slipper ended up on the road! Careless motorists on bike wearing slippers lost them while travelling! Mystery solved.

My flushed left cheek from excessive drinking. ok dun roll your eyes.. hey i say these are random pix didn't i? besides, i dun see the point of owning a camera phone if i can't take silly nonsense pix when i want to. so, isn't it great? no blusher needed. haha.

a fragment of my childhood memories.onced bustling with life, now ruined and dilapidated.

These are how the inside of avocadoes look like.. if you ever know how they look like on the outside in the 1st place.. looks like guava hor..

And this is how the inside of very very full juicer looks like... i told my aunt this juicer is so not value for money. the pulp is still very much wet and all. told her about this all powerful, king of all juicers commercial which i have seen on tv once for 200bucks but she thinks its a waste of money. surely in the long run getting a better machine will mean we can be sure that every fruit we put in produces more juice? oh, nvm!

This is a pix of a very sweet slice of honeydew (or izzit rock melon???). i never like honeydew b4 eating this fateful one. can't you just tell by looking at it how absolutely juicy it's gonna be? and see how nicely cut it is, complete with the leafy deco thingy (izzit parsley?? *shrugs*. and the best thing is, it's free. complimentary bcoz the chicken tasted funny. i love dining at fancy place! LaLaLa~

These are some very 'white' watermelon. i think they need a tan (cold joke). can i say that they are the whitest watermelon i've ever seen?

this is one afternoon when i boarded bus 74 and was surprised to find myself the only passenger. what are the odds? yaya so u think it's no big deal but i'm just a little weirded out la.. dunno if the bus driver is a kidnapper or not.. haha..
Ok these 2 are quite overdue but still rem like 3 to 4 wks back when the bloody haze just started? so these 2 were what i had taken when the psi was over 100. it was pretty scary. couldn't see the buildings as they were shrouded in the haze and all. and this was when one fine morning i was happily minding my own business in my aunt's shop and then heard this bang. 1 Getz kissed lorry's backside. Ouch. took down the getz's licence plate though.. lol... :P

that's all, folks. i need to go do some studying now. my JLPT (jap lang proficiency test) is coming up in less than a mth. die die must pass. quite happy with my life now. can do what i want, no job to rush to, no deadline to meet, no work pressure.. jus passing each day with late nights and late risings, plenty of tv, snacking and whatever i wanna do. trying to study more though.

and oh, recently had the pleasure of watching lotsa movies too. i like movies. and shows. i find life too monotonous sometimes. that's why ordinary pple like u and me find excitements, romance, adventures etc inside the silver screens to fill up the voids within ourselves.

the world's a stage, and all the men and women are the players.

to me, movies are not merely a form of entertainment. when i do come across some really good and meaningful shows, i find that i actually learn life lessons or gain certain insights and perspectives that i've never known or considered b4. on a lighter note, a comedy always crack me up and brighten up my day a little. i wanna watch movies until the day i die *determine* -_-"

hmmm.. maybe i shall go watch a little tv 1st.. just to chill out a little b4 i hit the books ^_^
