Much Ado About Babies

Babies: WaHhhhh... This is such a great bloggy! We Love iT! *GaGaH Gurgle* ---> baby noises

Me: Why.. Thank you all Sweeties!

Babies: Say, are u trying to act cute by putting our pix in your bloggy???

Me: Not really. Cute as you guys are, there are pple out there who abandon their babies.

Babies (in unison): *Gasp!*

Yeah. Was reading the new paper today again (i can't help it ok... my commuting time is really long!) Not like its wrong to read tnp la anyway but i was supposed to be using my commuting time to do my hw. Anyway! it's not like i boliao and keep blogging about tnp cover story of the day ok.. i can't help it if i have some strong after-reading comments which needed to be voiced and where else is better to do it except on my own friggy blog??!! and honestly, the rest of my life is rather too mundane to blog about.

So i was reading about abandoned babies in sg. not surprisingly, these poor creatures are borne by mostly teenage girls. Unmarried, scared and w/o the means to raise a baby, many will resort to abandoning their own flesh and blood. the really sad cases are those young mothers who try to give birth on their own secretly and then maybe try to flush the newborn down toilet or even dumped like trash down the rubbish chute. (Some dun meant to actually kill their babies. It was accidental, like the article on the right which i read about how this woman's unborn baby slipped out when she was peeing. Tragical.)

I have never been thru this so of coz i wont understand the feelings of these unintended young mums but i always feel that no matter how young or desperate u were, surely u have feelings for this baby u have personally carried in ur belly for 9mths and later given birth to? Really so cruel to walk out of these helpless babies or even try to kill it?? The article i was reading about was this kind motherly malay lady who is a volunteer to take care of these unwanted babies. It's pretty irony isn't it? She who even isn't related to the babies in any way is willingly to take care of them with tender loving care when the biological mums fled. I am not judging anyone but it's just how i feel.

On the other hand, there are childless couples out there who are eager to adopt these babies or resort to visiting fertility clinics in the bid to conceive. Irony, right? While schooling and financially-dependent on parents teenage girls just wanna have no-consequences premartial sex and ended up getting pregnant, established couples with a substantial combined household income are frustrated and despair over having no children, usually bcoz of inability to conceive or something.

I used to wonder about the irony of life b4. from the less-complicated issues like why buses/taxis only show up when u dun wish to take transport and vice versa. is god trying to be funny?? But someone (is that you, shan??) who told me that actually, there is a logical reason behind so-called coincidence situations.

Most pple are students or office workers isn't it? So it's obvious that rush hours are in the morn and evening. That's y u think that when u dun wanna take bus or cab, there are plenty but when u do, buses and mrt are bloody crowded (stinky too, sometimes), take SoOOOOoooOoOoo freaking long to come and the bloody cabs are nowhere in sight. And there is such thing known as 'unconscious memory'. Maybe u went to a party wearing almost the same outfit as a friend. Coincident? Spooky or just plain bad luck? It could be both of u have discussed about the party beforehand, talked about what to wear and some of the ideas exchanged might have stuck with u consciously or unconsciously in your brain. Then when u are off to shopping for the party outfit, what u rem (e.g: black dress sounds great) and what u dun rem (e.g. it was so-and-so who suggested the idea to me) and ended up wearing almost the same stuff.

So what i was saying is, it's no cruel twist of fate that young girls getting up pregnant when couples who tried so hard remain childless. We all know that the younger we are, the more prime and conceive-able we are. Plus in the heat of passion (+ lack of contraceptive knowledge), it is no wonder that younger women get pregnant more easily. Many couples who are trying hard for kids maybe putting off have 1 for ages until now. By then, the woman might have considerably aged or 'past her prime', and we all know that the older u get, the harder and more complication u get trying to get pregnant. The same can also be said for the husband if we assume both are around the same age.

In the same copy of tnp was an article on angelina jolie and brad pitt's baby:
Really lo.. 'tong ren bu tong ming' xia (we are all humans but the lucky ones get born with a silver spoon in their mouth). So apparently their newborn, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt (stupid name... that's wat u get when u r born to fancy movie stars parents who both want their surnames in your name and worse, naming u after some african-inspired name or something). jus 2 mths old but plenty of publicity solely bcoz of movie-star parents. now even the lame wax museum wanna have the wax version of the celebrities' baby in their museum. Suddenly feeling a bit bitter. See what money can do in this world? Nobody gives 2 shit about millions of starving african kids but they will coo-ed and aww-ed at celebrities' offsprings (roll eyes). By the way i like neither angelina nor brad pitt. especially the latter. rich and handsome so what? all these hollywood marriages are a joke, a sham. no matter how chio ur wife is (think jen aniston and nicole kidman), these men just can't stand sticking their dicks into 1 woman for the rest of their life. So i say, no money also problematic, having too much also not good. In fact, dun u think the marriages that actually last are those of the common folks' like u and i? (and preferably both husband and wife are not too hottie bcoz good looks always attract uwanted attention...). I think maintaining a loving lifelong marriage is 1 of the greatest achievements in life. Sure, i would love to live in big houses and have big money, but with no one to share it with me, i am better off not having these material luxuries.

Anyway... dun wanna talk about babies no more! On a lighter note, saw this stunning, killer abs indian actress babe in tnp as well. Check her out! Sorry, i am not racist (ironically, she is, not me. Ha!) but i have never seen an indian woman with figure like this! So i guess it does helps when u are a movie star with personal trainer and dietician *shrug*. Ok, shall go train 6packs too starting from next mth! LoL! If i succeed, i will pass a big pix of my fruit of labour on the blog!

Will i succeed??? Bets are now opened for acceptance! (part-time bookie) ^_^" Pls call me at my hp to place your bets, you punters! Wee!

Days of My Life on Sunny Singapore + TV & Movies Talk

Nope. Not the 10thousand episodes US drama. Just that when i travel around everyday, i often see nice sceneries, yeah, in sg, really got nice sceneries la. u jus gotta stop and look. Ever since i got my new hp w cam, i have long sold off my bulky 5-yr-old digi cam of the same mega pixel and made a small profit. Teehee. I have compiled some of the pix i have taken from time to time into this entry, from indoor to outdoor, from things that i find funny, stupid, whatever.

First stop, somewhere near my house. I needed to cross Bishan Park 1 evening to amk side when i stop and admire this..erm.. sunset effect thingy (can i call it sunset? u decide):

Wee! Why izzit pink?? Light trick? Some sorta reflection?? But quite nice hor. Show u a bigger 1.

Now that this pix is bigger, it actually looks like a piece of pink cloud! Holy shit.. and speaking of clouds, dunno why leh, usually i dun give 2 hoots about nature and stuffs like that. but dunno whether izzit been travelling outside too frequently nowadays, i actually can appreciate the greenery around sg and all the nice fluffy clouds on a nice, blue-sky day (Disclaimer: i will still choose to go shopping in hk or japan instead of hiking china's mountain).... But of coz.. next to the beautiful bishan park, we have the kallang river! (i think it's the kallang river...) Yucks! Check out the freaky algae or whatever shit it is in it! Haha. Anti-climate huh, after showing u nice pinky cloud pix. Heeheehee.. digusting or not? That's a close-up for ya! LoL. But honestly, why the green thingy so thick and all de?? Totally remind me of The Swamp Thing. Back then, he was the grossiest creature i've ever seen. Bloody hell.

Ok la dun gross u out la. This is Punggol Park. Also looks pretty and all. I think there is the faint pinky clouds effect in the background once again. And it is also evening time. Maybe the next time around 6ish pm u can look up the sky and see for yourself.

Hell. I like to take pix of hdb flats too! Heehee. V uniquely sg hor, the sight of hdbs. i have read that 80% of us dwell in hdb. These are bishan flats. Do u wanna ask me where i took all these pix from? Haha, ok, i tell u, i am actually a house burglar... i can't resist but take pix from the victims' flats' windows when i spotted nice scenery. Shhhh.....This was taken when i was looting 1 orchard office. Nice view of wisma and taka. But the gathering dark clouds (see how the dark and normal ones are separated? Cool.) somehow spell an unexplainable feeling of ominous (like mayb the security guards are on their way up?) hence i hastily made a quick get-out. i was escaping via borders and decided to make a quick visit to the mag section (Cheapo Reen strikes!) It was a wkday afternoon so not many pple. I spotted something cute:

I am not sure wat genre of mag this is but the cover is cute! A fagging and boozing angel! I like(My inner queen of vices cheered)! Btw, the mag is freaking 16bucks. Gee. I can buy sg her world+cleo+female etc. 3 for the price of 1. But of coz, i won't be doing that and hence save that 16bucks altogether ^_^. Exported mags are seriously inflated in price xia. if there is any foreign mag u like, u are better off subscribing to it. Can save up to half the amount compared to buying them off the shelves.

Boarded the MRT. Suddenly, this auntie next to me produced a small item outta her bag and started to...

-_-"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" K.N.S.... wtf she thinks she is doing? Her house ah??? Some pple jus have no sense of public awareness or whatsoever lo.. I sighed deeply and continued to file my nails and yakking on my mobile phone, all at the same time comfortably sprawling across 4 spaces worth of seats. Nice! LoL.

Got off the mrt and spotted a rather.. erm.. physically well-built (carefully tot-out politically correct description) lady.. I can't help but think, izzit her genes? or izzit bcoz she is an appreciator of the finer food in life??? I got wonder b4 whether i myself can ever potentially ballon up to this size or not. But it will definitely not be something i am curious enuff to try for sure.

Haha. Lame! Check out this tiger balm ad by a bus stop lo... They are actually promoting their latest plaster or something. But what's wrong with this ad?? can u ever visualise a pair of tiger's paws on your back to be a comfy tot when u r having backaches?? No way lo. pls.. The 1st thing that comes to my mind will be claw marks! They totally got the relax-and-comfy idea all wrong xia. Failed ad! Pls refer to the clinique mascara one for cross-reference.

Home. Of coz is watch tv. Recently chasing this new hk drama, Forensic Heroes, starring Auyong Zhenhua and this pretty lady whose name i am not quite sure but she was in another hk drama, Wei Si Li, starring opposite my fave ex-tvb actor of all time, Gallen Lo Jia Liang.

Bak in pri sch, I actually fantasized to be a pathologist (the doc who cut up corpses to check how they die etc) when i grow up. Gee. Was i 1 sicko kid? *Psychotic laughter* But the entire class knew that and my form teacher was even impressed ok? Anyway, typical cops-team-up-w-forensic-pple, crime, murder blah blah kinda drama. Some plots seemed familiar of coz but most of the murder cases, i actually couldn't guess wth was the killer until last min (i am not stupid. the storyline is jus good). Aka HK CSI lo. V nice. I like. Go borrow and watch la.

I like auyong zhenhua. Nvm his hairstyle has not changed in the last 10yrs and he is chubby and all. Dear asked me why i like him even though he is no pretty boy. The ans is actually quite simple. In all his shows, 1stly, i have nv seen him as the bad guy. He will always be the filial son, loving husband/bf and/or father, a professional in tie and suit, cooks for his woman and most imptly, he has a sense of humour.

I dunno about other girls, but funny guys totally rocks! Yes, Andy Lau makes most ladies weak in the knees, but at the end of the day, what am i gonna do w just a pretty face? Of coz he mustn't look anything like william hung either.

I religiously watch stephen chow's movies, some repeatedly, thanks to the regular showings in channel 8 and channel u. His movies are the ones i can watch again and again w/o feeling bored and still luff my @$$ off every single time. How can u not adore this man?

Also caught the movie 'Nacho Libre' over the weekend despite my bf insisting that only 2 stars were given as rating. Indeed at the end of the movie it wasn't v impressive plot-wise but the humour was there all right, thanks to comedian actor jack black. I enjoyed his 'sch of rock' and 'shallow hal'. Who said the fat boys cannot be attractive?

Also love Adam Sandlers and Rob Schneider (the Deuce Bigalow male gigglo guy) to bits. Funny! Bridget Jones Diary's Renee Zellweger who plays a less-than-skinny Londoner is also fabulous. Anyway, if it's funny, i have most prolly watched it.

3 Cheers for the funny guys!

Part 2: Random Blog aka Are You Beautiful?

Today. i stopped by guardian to buy distilled water. i casually took a look at what's on 'the new paper' while i was in the store. i dun used to like tnp, thanks to stern eng teachers back in my schooling days who drill into us the idea that tnp is nothing but bad english and trash (They are right about the bad eng but the entertainment is there). However, my work requires me to travel around a lot each day so sometimes i do buy a copy when i am bored and commuting time is long. Anyway, this is what is on the cover of tnp today, 25 July:
Right. I recognised who's the cover girl of the day is. miss singapore 2006 lo. caught a few glimpses of the pageant thingy on tv sometimes. i rem my 1st reaction is 'Har.. pretty meh... Eyes so small.. teeth so big.. well-endowed only leh... (read: big boobs. at least a C cup)' I proceed to sigh a little and wonder if we will ever get to see a miss singapore becomes a miss universe winner in this lifetime. i know la.. our population of 4millions is not impressive compared to like maybe china's of 1gazillion. maybe the real sg beauties aint joining. But other events leh? Like world cup?? The idea of singapore team will ever make it is absurd to most of us. Do u think it has anything to do with our practical education of study study study until die and most of us are actually not indulging into our real hidden non-academic talents?? anyway, back to miss singapore. year after year, i never really find any of the winners beautiful enuff in my standard (What.. 1st thing of coz see face right.. ya la i know now they say the brains also impt but sadly, pple will always see face 1st lo..). I am not condemning local women. in fact, there are tons of pretty girls around in sg! I like Mediacorps' Phyllis Quek and maybe even Constance Song. They are pretty to me.
Anyway, apparently pple are making a big hoo-haa about this miss singapore, carol cheong, choice of clothes in the evening gown round. Ha! Although i told myself to stop buying trashy (but really quite entertaining sometimes) tnp, the inner gossipy bitchy queen in me weaken as i am keen to know what's the whole thing is about (kpo 3 gu 6 po, teehee) so i parted with my 70cents.

As u can see, ms sg is being accused of being slutty and all in her choice of evening gown. at the 1st look, it does look nothing like an evening gown to me. Shouldn't be all long and elegant and all? maybe even a little bridal dress-like? As 1 mentioned comment by some local blogger, he/she thinks that ms sg has mistaken this round to be 'the night gown' round instead and said that what she wore was 'no class'. honestly, i wont go so far as to say until like that. mayb it was a bad choice, but aiya.. need to be so mean meh.. This, however, is already rather mild compared to other meanie remarks like 'stripper' la, how the whole outfit makes her stomach look protruding and her legs short. Ouch. pls lo.. if her already-quite flat stomach (as seen from bikini round) is called 'protruding' and her 1.6++m height is still short, then girls like me can all go jump off building liao. I actually got a bit defensive for this poor critisized ms sg although i must admit i myself also find the outfit rather distasteful to some extent. if u r kpo like me, mayb u can go google on more comments made about her outfit in question. i dun have to do it to know that most comments musta been harsh and even downright meanie. What's up with all these name-labelling huh. Slut, whore, whatever. She wanna dress sexy cannot meh. The ironic is, whoever all these commenting bloggers are, i seriously doubt they are hotties themselves lo.. If u daresay that u look anything like the cross-btw Andy Lau and Takeshi Kaneshiro (jin cheng wu la) or any of the hot babes of hollywood, then however u wanna sneer at those who are less-blessed in the appearance department, then i lanlan nothing to say lo. But pls lo.. if u yourself fat and balding (Read: kns) and look like 4mths pregnant even when u r not (this can be said for both male and female), then fuck la.. u think u got right to critisize others meh?

To be honest, this is just human nature. I am no angel myself. There were times when the green-eyes monster took over me and i find myself making deliberate vicious comments (visualise darts and daggers) in the direction of a model-like female counterpart. Dun kaykay lo.. i know any1 would have done this b4. why do we, the humble law-abidding folks, who even sometimes deem ourselves as kind, sympathetic and gentle souls when we give up our seats in public transports to old ah ma and even wept a silent tear or 2 during telecasted charity shows, viciously and harshly pass mean judgements to other women? As if most men are not @$$holes enuff (my apologies to the good men out there, especially my darling), we claw out the eyes of a mei nu in our sight secretly inside our heads? I think it boils down mainly to 2 reasons: 1 is definitely Evolution (WooOoOooo.. i am be chim too! TeeHee!) and 2 is simply insecurity. Evolution over millions of yrs always ensured the survivor of the strongest and fittest right? So that pretty girl's symmetrical and taut body, tall frame, shiny hair, bright eyes whatever, standards mother nature deems to be the elite, will be, to a mild extent, causing envy in the less-endowed ones and more extremely, insane jealousy.

These days, I dun really bother to get jealous when i see pretty ladies around (no, i didn't suddenly look like a supermodel or whatsoever). it's just that i find appreciating what other women have has a more calming effect on my sanity. Maybe some chicks are born with all the enviable features which turn heads but i always know that your own effort is the factor that really makes the diff. i am old enuff to know that 6packs dun just magically appeared despite my diet of potato chips and kfc (i am eating pc now actually...). hell, these pple work their @$$ off in the gyms to achieve that kind of figure isn't it? 'there are no ugly women, jus lazy ones' is v true. i guess pple who is really determined enuff to put in the effort to get wat they want is really admirable and quite a role model for the rest of us. Rather than mad jealousy and a vicious bitchy mouth, go spend ur time working towards your goals la. I really cannot stand pple who critisize others jus to make themselves feel better about their own insecurities lo.. If u are already a loser, u make yourself a even worse sucker by doing this. At the end of the day, u are still the ugly one. HaHa! Go do something about it pls!

I regret that 1 thing i may not be able to improve is perhaps my less than perfect skin. If a fairy is willingly to gimme jus 1 wish, i will be v torn btw asking for perfect skin or world peace. If I ever choose the former, the 1st thing i will do is to strut down the entire stretch of orchard road in a pair of hot pants so short, half my butt cheeks are revealing. nevermind my bf will bash my skull in for doing this and proceeds to kick my dead body down the foot of Mt Faber. In fact! I always secretly ogle at girls in shorts...*lecherous leer* (what? girl cannot see other girl meh? it's not only a privilege for men ok?). I am merely appreciately the beauty of human body. LoL. I sneakily took a pix of this girl once when i was in orchard actually. she was too bz gabbing and yakking on her hp to notice the 'ka-chi' sound my dear hp cam made when i captured the loveliness of her fair legs! (Note that i do not promote pervertic use of hp cam to pix unsuspecting females on the street, u sicko!). Awww.. how does some girls get so fair and all? This is really enviable lo. I am speaking for the rest of the female community. Dun even try to deny lo... Why do u think the beauty industry is laughing all the way to the bank w truckloads of money, YOUR MONEY, they made from whitening products? -_-"
Whatever. i am off to beautify myself from now on. sure, looks are what everyone see u at 1st. But a beautiful heart is even harder to come by. And rem kids, do not gossip and bitch about others, or else your teeth will get pulled out 1 by 1 in your afterlife! ^_^

Part 1: Random Blog aka I Haven't Blog for 3 weeks so I am Blogging Randomly~

The Power of Advertisement, Media, Whatever.

i like reading mag. Most girls do. I know this for a fact. Ok, i am not being local-hater or anything but really lor... sg mag... really Cannot Make It... My fave mag is US Cosmopolitan. I even subscribe to it! I cheered the day SG lifted the ban on this mag since 20 YEARS AGO bcoz back then, they deem this mag to be to provocative and slutty. Now that SG is so pro-US, Cosmo is back in SG since..erm... 2004 dec, if i am not wrong.. ANYWAY! I was thumbing thru a copy of CAN-CAN ( a jap fashion mag) in my school and i was really gobsmacked upon seeing this ad:

Now now.. all u short-lashed asian girls! Our secret dream is always to have mega-long lashes, usually with the help of mascara, of coz. but WTF!!!! honestly! if u ever see this clinique ad, would u ever wanna buy this?@!!! Be Honest! It's pretty freaking gross isn't it! I wanna look like i have never-ending lashes, yes. But i am not exactly wanting to look like a potential female lead in the next horror movie ok!

In the same mag, i found another ad that is more acceptable:

Now that's what you call a mascara ad!!!! Simple! Pretty! Blonde hair and blue eyes model with enviable lashes!!! that makes us girls wanna go out and grab that product!!! Not the former! What is clinique thinking?@!!!! Bloody hell.. As I thumb the mag further, i got depressed...

Sorry it's kinda blur... but gee! Jap girls are so thin! Dun believe me, go flip thru any jap mag at kino for free. My ex-boss told me these girls are street models. Meaning they aren't pro models but merely passerbys on the streets requested to pose for the mag. Now why are they so many chio bus who are stick-thin and amazingly-gorgeous in japan?!!! (See what a steady diet of sashimi can do for your figure???)

Damn. The bikini pages. WHY ARE THEY SO SKINNY AND ALL?@!!! Upon seeing this, i promptly recoil into deep depression as i sighed loudly enuff for the school receptionist to notice. I went thru a total of 3.2sec of low tide b4 promising myself to stick to a strict sashimi diet until i look like 1 of those models! (kidding. i'm pretty cute myself now isn't it!!! Erm... right?? RIGHT?!!!!) Whatever. LoL. In fact, i am pretty exhausted now( for reason I will not tell.... hiak hiak hiak). Part 2 will come soon... (Hmmm.. soon la... after my mj sessions... hk drama-watching etc ok???) ^_^"""

Part 2: Bloody Fun Sunday Outing~!

Right. This is kinda tad too late huh. In fact, it had happened 3 weeks ago and my enthu to blog is as piping hot as 1-week old bread. But wtf... said i would finish blogging this entry so i will just chop chop cut short any smarty-pantsy details and go straight to the main point.

So! I was saying, after our Haw Par Villa trip, we went to Mt Faber. We came to this building 'The Jewel Box' and went in for dinner. I wanna to go AlTiVo de but so unfortunately some sort of marriage party was held there so it's not open to the public i think. So we ll and went to another outdoor dining place which I am not quite sure what's the name. It's next to the Cable car station. And speaking of cable car station...

This is the view we got from our table. Nice. But the fucking breeze was like blowing into our faces and making our food all cold. kns. the price of nice view. LoL. I took several cable car shots actually but refer to the above regarding my piping hot enthu so i am only gonna post 1 (like u give a shit about cable cars pix..yeah). Anyway, when i was a kiddo i took cable car like once or twice. it's exciting shit when your age only consist of a single digit. I did wanted to go on a ride in one of those for old times sake but the bf was not hot about the idea so i had to settle for the below:

A shot in front of a fake cable car made outta lego outside the outdoor dining place. Ok, I was starving. Let's go in.

... Yeah baby... Chill white wine! WooHoo! This is the moment I live for!!! (Ignore stinky tiger beer, it's dear's). The bloody wine is a whooping $15/glass (i can buy an entire bottle from cold storage or something) but it's BLOODY DELICIOUS! I swooned as i sipped it greedily but also in fear that i might finish it all too quickly. Yummy... Actually the food and drinks here are pretty ex lo. We ordered a seafood pasta marinara for me and a fish and chips for dear. And later a nacho with 3 diff kinda generously-served dips (they should. it's like 12bucks).

TaDaaH! Our food is here! Yeah! Does it look nice? Heehee. My pasta is generously served with 2 whole mussels, 2 scallops which i can actually see and taste, 2 sotong and 2 prawn! ^___^ i dun usually eat seafood especially when i was young. i stuck to chicken all the time. it's only recent years that i can got adventurous (and gluttony) and tried new food. the pasta was nice! dear said his fish and chips is so-so only and proceed to kapo 1 of my sotongs. I couldn't resist but had another order of wine (3obucks spent on 2 glasses of wine, dumb but it was 1 happy girl *shrug* :P). We spent a whooping $111 on this meal! But i was all starry-eyes (*_*) after it, thanks to the yummy wine. TeeHee. A pair of cutest british boy twin was sat next to our table! I cooed and awwed throughout the meal while madly snapping pix of the cuddly babes

KAWAII!!! All blue-eyed and blonde hair! (albeit botak of coz, they are babies, for god sake! what do u expect, a headful of lustrous goldilock mane???) So there i was, all starry-eyed and motherly instinctful (weird combi, and that's beside the point! heehee). If i ever wanna marry an ang moh, it will be bcoz i wanna kiddo jus like that! But looking at my all-chinese dear dear thru my starry-eyes, this hopeful wish will not be fulfilled this lifetime (luckily dear has nice eyes and is tall so at least my kids would not all grow up to be shorty like me and proceed to stabbed me to death with kitchen knives in my sleep bcoz they resent me for passing on my shorty genes -_-") Ha!

Ended our Mt Faber dinner with a snapshot with the help of a passing waitress. It was a good day! ^_^

Back home, a mj session was in planning. Dear is visibly upset (understatement, he was actually pissed off) bcoz he said mj session robbed him of his time with me. But Queen of Vices aka me will not be fazed easily hence despite him all mad and fuming, i proceed to his sister's house 2 doors away for mj! Kakaka :P

Took a pix with my bf's niece, YanYan b4 mj session. She v cute hor. The princess of the family. She is 2, has the face of an angel but is actually a she-demon in disguise. V naughty de lor!!! Many times I get so mad with her bcoz of her mischievous acts. Totally 'you ai you hen'. Usually she purposely doesnt make cute faces when you express the interest to take her pix but maybe she is in a good mood today so she entertained me. Took the chance to make her pose somemore:

Kakaka! This pix was taken when she was sucking on a sour sweet or something, can't rem. But doesn't she look like a female Bruce Lee in this pix?? Rofl.

This one showed her cheekily picking up our mj tiles. She is Miss Kpo. Like to kaqiao us when we mj de. LoL. Usually we tricked her into giving her some tiles from the spare mj set and she would settle for stacking them as high as she can like lego until she can bored and come over to kaqiao again. Kids. You can't help but adore them. Hmmm...

P.S: paiseh wor v long no update blog. Been crazily busy with studies and work (Ok i lie a little, i mj a lot too. And watching hk drama a lot too. My bad.) But hey! My jap and work really keen me busy! Come August, I will be more free so more entries are expected. Have already taken random pix here and there from my daily life as materials to blog in the next entries. Hee. Till then, take care all you pple!

Walking Down Memory Lane: Haw Par Villa!

Was slacking last sunday. After a tiring week, it's always enjoyable to be sleeping endlessly on sunday. Weather was freaking hot these days. Bloody hell. Then suddenly rem dear can use his friend's van for the next 3 weeks so wtf, wanna take the chance to go out drive around! excited, i asked dear where can we go. i dunno why but i suddenly exclaimed 'where's haw par villa ah?!' Turns out it is at pasir panjang and nowadays they are having free entry so hell, let's go! Woo hoo!

Wee! Forced dear to make a cute expression. LoL ^_^" Polo tee courtesy of SAF. Heehee. Dear having reservist now so he say can take jiu take. Freebies! Now that's my darling!

Me relac-one-corner while dear drove.. Lalala~! Hmmm maybe take out cam to take sceneries pix?? Idea!

Blue Sky! Yeah.. once in a while when you look up the sky, it's actually pretty nice huh. I like the saying 'It's not about the destination. it's the journey'. We city pple are often rushing about all day long that we dun really appreciate nature stuffs like sky, flowers blah blah. But once you do take the time to appreciate them for a while, it's like, hey, why didn't i notice this beauty b4?

Blue Sky! Hey diff angle ok! haha okok i am a sucker for blue sky la. Those huge fluffy clouds floating peacefully up there.. nothing to worry, nowhere to rush to.. then when they get fat and heavy, they rain lo. then after evaporation, precipitation blah blah all those stages you learnt back in pri sch in water cycle, TaDaaH! become clouds again!
Actually got more blue sky pix but...nvm! haha. drove past this pte houses-lined road. Envy. Will pple like you and me ever afford to stay in such fancy houses? Seems like we are all destinied to live in hdb all our lives huh. nothing wrong with hdbs la but i'm sure it ever crossed your mind how izzit like to be staying at such places.. or ever condo with full facilities.. But I digress...

Holy shit! we are here! WaaAaaaAAaaa!!! Miss Suaku broke into a run like a 3-yr-old being released into a Toy 'R' Us. Shit! Shit! SHIT! Meomory lane!!!! Now, anyone my age with a decent childhood will be here at least once when they were kiddo. Back then, this place is really glam and all the gazillions of chinese statues they have will make kiddos bug-eyed and gobsmacked. I used to be 1 of those kiddos.

Attempted to conceal my little excitement by even taking time to examine the map outside. Yeah right, like i care. Gonna explore the bloody place anyhow i like. Who cares about the freaking map! Teehee!

Entry got this huge and tall impressive chinese-style gate. Like entering a palace like that. But dun be fool. The place is really in quite a ruined, as i realised after the trip. You'll see.

We paid like 5bucks for parking. Kns. The jolly uncle security guard, upon pocketing our 5bucks, urge us to go 1st touch the belly of this buddha on the left. Apparently, this will bring u prosperity (Read: $$$). In such situation, you must always believe and do according as told. Because, nobody would mind if i 'coincidentally' strike all 4D, toto and big sweep the following week. Show Me The Money!!!

Check this out! super ancient fancy car which belongs to the 2 brothers who own haw par villa, and if u dunno, tiger balm company as well (U tot the tigers in haw par villa and on tiger balm is a coincident meh..). And now, ladies and gentlemen, we are gonna proceed into... *gasp! hold breath* The Ten Courts of Hell! This place is like the highlight of haw par villa la. Rem the eerie boat ride u went on as kiddo into the dark and scary place? Yes.. that's the same place.. except now, i think they no fund to maintain the whole boatride thing so where it used to be the river is now filled up and becomes a walking path lo. Not visiting this place is like coming to Singapore and not go visit the Merlion.

Behold, Mortals! As we approached the entry, i was actually filled with giggles than fear, like the way i was when young. Adulthood really robs us of a lot of simple fun huh. Crap aside, let's go in!

Okok.. i made up all the tension to make you all excited... i didn't even take much pix inside ok.. sorry la but inside hor.. really dark and all lo.. bad lighting for pix taking. plus honestly, i dun feel quite comfy doing that. (so much for being all grown-up now and not afraid anymore). blame the fear instilled in me during my childhood visit here lo. Used to recall in fright about my visit here. Gory statues depicting all kinds of tortures the souls got punished for their sins when they are alive. Look at the description board and imagine yourself ok? Despise the blazing heat outside, the air in here is really chilly in comparison. izzit due to the lack of sunlight? Or... .... Anyway, cant resist but took this particular signboard. Check out the sins and the respective punishments. I can't help but zoom in on the gambling part. Great. Just freaking great. All those mahjongs sessions, harmless 4D buying.. i am gonna be frozen into blocks of ice in my afterlife now, together with, say.. 3.9millions of other singaporeans! Hahaha!

Took just one gory pix to quench your psychopath desire to see gore. This punishment, apparently, is for erm, being heartless or something when one was alive (pix of heart being dug out is self-explained). Got other gross stuffs like tongues kena cut out for lying, bodies smashed by boundaries, limbs being pulled apart blah blah. Use. Your. Imagination!

Dear is determined to point out that the punishment for food wasting is body sawn into 2. This is his punishment to me for forcing him eat all my leftovers when we eat out. He believes it is me who has robbed him of his male athlete figure and the now resultant less-than-taut body. He claimed that his average intake on every occasion of our meals is 1.5plates - 1 plates his, 1/2 mine. Awww... So all you figure-conscious ladies, treasure your slim body now. Bcoz it's gonna get saw into 1/2 when you reach hell. Same to those guys who watch porn! Hahaha!

My conclusion when we finally finished the tour. Heaven is empty, bcoz everyone will be in hell. The mere 2 pix i took of the punishments signboards, every1 is sure to find at least 1 'crime' that they are guilty of. At this rate, wtf is ever going to Heaven?!!! Nvm, let's check out more cheerful stuffs! Iko! (Ee-ko) (Jap for let's go!)

Ok, this is just plain.. weird... Apparently, this pix depicts filiety piety.. The story behind it: An aging mother-in-law who has lost all her teeth, hence the ability to eat, is in the danger of being starved to death. Hence the filial daughter-in-law, get this, breastfeed her, for the next 4 years until the old lady died of old age. In her dying bed, she expressed her graitude towards her daughter-in-law and bless that the latter will be equally well-treated by her kids in future. Hmmm.. I dunno what to say.......

Look! The signboards have got jap explanations! *triumph*. When i ask dear what does he think about in most places of interest, signboards usually have english, chinese and jap explanations but not others like korean or european languages?? He tot about it and solemnly replied, 'Im sure koreans read jap too.' -_-" Nevertheless, I secretly congrats myself for choosing to learn jap. Wahaha!

We came to this bridge and look what I saw! Tortoises! Or izzit grown-up terrapins?! Whatever.. but haha.. not that i am particularly fond of them but they are really cute. Guess they must be sheltering themselves from the bloody heat. And talking about heat, it was super-duper i-wanna-curse-and-swear hot lo! I ducked around a lot, which dear sarcastically ask me to go home instead. I can't help it if i get tanned easily but take the next 50yrs to regain fairness
ok! Grrr!

Next stop! Pondful of lotus!!! (Or water lily or whatever water plant..) Shit! I have never seen that many in my life! That's me grinning and arms widespread out like a moron ^_^" In case you are thinking i am at Botanic Gardens now, i wanna remind you once again that i am at Haw Par Villa ok?

Ahhh... Now that's more like it! This next pix got more i-m-at-haw-par-villa feel right? How many deities are there?? 1, 2, 3.. or 4? Heehee. I wanna be the Goddess of Beauty Deity! Pray to me! HeeHeeHee! Super Bhb! ^_^"""

Ahhh... Pix on right is more suitable for my image.. Me: Gimme the freaking coin, you damn frog! Frog: -_-"""

Self-entertained ourselves by posing dumb pix with the statues! (Bang! All my brain matters kena blown out!) Statues in HPV: -_-"""""""

Oh Master Tang!! Doreen wanna kissy too! *Pouty lips* Or a bite of your famous ever-lasting-beauty-giving flesh wouldn't hurt too! Dear ah, go get the BBQ pit, kuai dian!

Dear is inspired by my lusty move on Master Tang and proceeds to molest 1 of the 4 topless mermaids he found in a fake pond.

...He soon got bored of groping cold hard breasts and went on to tackle a huge crab. He insisted, he is the Lord of Crab (Crap, to me, heehee) bcoz he is a Cancerian. Bestow, Prince of Crab (Crap)! Your humble Fish servant bows to you, My Lordship!
This place is supposed to be 1 of the 1st swimming pool (yes, it was a swimming pool, not a pond) in Singapore. On my background should be an impressive made-man waterfall, long long ago... (Refer to the earlier mentioned lack-of-funds-to-upkeep-this-place reason). I mean, it was a sunday lo, but do you see anyone else in the pictures except we 2 self-entertaining idiots?? LoL. But got la, a few tourists here and there lo. We saw tour buses loadful of senior citizens. So sad huh. It used to be pretty hip and all when we were young but now it is just dilapidated and forgotten, giving way to the ever-popular Orchard Rd. Honestly, when you are at Orchard Rd 5 days/wk, I wouldn't wanna go Orchard Rd on my rest day!

There was only so much to see around here so next I suggested West Coast Park! Oh Yes! Why not when i am so in touch with my nature-self at the moment??!! Oh yes oh yes!!! Beach, sand, sun and sandcastle-buildings kiddo, here we come!

Right.. Ok let me explain... We DID arrive at WCP and i DID have every intention of running down the coast of the beach but when we reached, the weather was more than ever HOT and i dun see the freaking beach in sight! Then dear happily pointed out to a faraway place which i assumed must be Indonesia already. The beach seemed to be entiredly blocked off and maybe some reclaiming work is in progress! WTF! Aiya to hell with it la. I snapped the pix on the right of the cutest chihuahua I saw playing catch ball with its owner before I left. But see, I was at West Coast Park ok! So shaddap...

Dear casually brought up where we should go instead and i totally wanna go too! Where, do you think, when you had the rare opportunity of driving, would you go?? Make a guess...

Reaching soon! Did you get it right?? Haha, yeah, we are going to Mt Faber! Those who went b4 must know the fab view from Al Tivo where you can sip your white wine nonchalently while basking in the amazing view.

Woo hoo! I snapped this pix eagerly once we were up. I believe that's sentosa??!!! And look really closely to the right ok.. That's Mr Merlion! Hello!!!!

How does it feels to live just next to Mt Faber huh?? As I wondered this question, dear, however, has a more sicko tot. He said to me that he wanna cut me into pieces then wrapped them into black plastics bags and dumped them into the thick forest surrounding Mt Faber. He is sure my Mr Romantic!

Anyway, this is where we are gonna dine at ---->

The Jewel Box. This is where AlTiVo is housed. We are going in! Wanna know what we ate, drank and did after that? 'fraid i need to disappoint you and continue blogging the next time. I am getting tired and hungry. Look out for Part 2 of my Happy Sunday Outing soon.

Cheers!
