I DiD It My Way~

where have my time gone to? did u happen to see it? man.. sometimes 24hours a day really seems short isn't it? it also isn't helpful that i spend quite a huge chuck of my time sleeping.. heehee.. a girl can't help it if she enjoy her snoozing moments right.. geez.. at this rate, i dunno how i am ever gonna be an OL in future... (can't think of any i-have-a-real-job job except being an OL.. no thanks to the fact that both my good frens are 1 themselves.. talk about peer pressure at the ripe old age of 22.. yeah i am so mature...) Anyway... ...

Happy Teachers' Day 2006! yeah yeah it's like, what, 10 days too late to mention this but! got this little surprise present from a student! He actually took the effort to wrap it with gift paper with a kidish post-it note 'Happy teacher day miss teo! O. M. G... *touched!*

It's a Pilot 4-colours pen! LoL. He actually rem i told him how my old pen is running outta ink and despite me telling him to save his money when he revealed he's going to buy me a teacher's day present but i told him not to, he bought me this which i believe to cost at least 2bucks+. It's A Lot for a pri 2 boy i think. He also drew me this spongebob pix some time back when he knew that i like this character. so full of child-like innocence isn't it? made me think about my own childhood's drawings. took a pix of him doing chinese compo (face not shown to protect the underage. LoL). Sigh... the little things in life that give u satisfaction eh.. I even got a teachers' day card from another sec 3 student! yeah.. so i bitch about long commuting hours and sometimes it's frustrating when a student just don't understand what i am teaching no matter how hard i explain. so 'mrs tan bought 6 tins of paint. each tin cost $3.20. (a) how much did she spend all together? (b) if she gave the cashier $50, how much change did she receive?' is a no brainer to grown ups like u and me but for a kid under 10 i have come to understand that they genuinely dun understand just as we won't know wtf it is if we are to learn about, say, nanotechnology or something. But frankly, sometimes the kinda homework that the younger kids did are really hilarious. Check out this pri 1 sweetie girl of mine who did her eng vocab hw. Laughed my @$$ off when i marked it. see what she had written! haha v cute la.. those big handwritings pri sch kids have... and tell u lo! syllabus nowadays r more harder than what we used to learn! i can look at my pri 6's kid's maths hw and is dumbfounded by her maths problem sums! either kids now r getting smarter or stresser. then hor, pri sch kids now got hps and all that hi-tech craps when i got my 1st hp in sec 4! bloody hell.... what is the world coming to huh!

but honestly, when they get good results and show improvement, i am really happy from the bottom of my heart. suddenly, i feel that i am not good-for-nothing after all and i have the ability to do some good. ha. some of the younger pri sch kids ask me permission to go toilet during lessons and i am known to them as 'tuition teacher' instead of my real name. i doubt they really know my real name at all despite e fact that i've told them b4. haha.. pretty cute and even heartwarming when i think about it sometimes...

omg suddenly felt transported back to my childhood days.. *pensive moments* (hello shan!)

A friend sent me the email below about 80's babies memorable list. From the stated 50, i am proud to say that i am able to connect with at least more than half of it! Haha.. yeah... school memories are by far the best days of my life... As we grew older, we tend to forget more and more of our childhood days. The email reminded me of many fond memories, including how i used to religiously watched cartoons, brushing teeth after recess, our fave snacks, the books we read (for me, nancy drew in pri and r.l. stine in sec), ring pop!, down to the minute detail that our workbooks used to be made of smooth yellow pages and our worksheets rough and brown... since my jc days, i haven't really felt as carefree as when i was a kiddo . when u are in pri and sec sch, all u have to care about is the chinese spelling on tuesday and that maths text next week. dun have to think about money and all that adults' concerns. i was from a lowly pri sch but i enjoyed my 6years there thoroughly. it's almost impossible to whip off my pride that i grad from my pri sch getting into the top 10% of the national cohort ok.. ( meaning scoring more than 250 for psle *smug*) for that, i am entitled to choose a 3rd lang to study in sec sch which i did. i chose jap but i foolishly gave it up bcoz back then i just found it oh-so-hard to go for that twice a wk after school to attend classes at like 5 bus stops away from my house in moe language school. stupid stupid.. more like lazy actually. i have always been sluggish all. my. freaking. life. my bad. now i pay for this by forking out good money to attend a commerical jap sch. wise move... wise move indeed, lazy me. so u see, karma is real and retribution exists.

Anyway, here's what my fren sent me. Just for all the pple out there my age. Enjoy.

So how many have u managed to identify eh?

back to what i am talking about my work. i always grumble about travelling a lot for my work, as a result i also see a lot of sg when i commute. got this pix one evening when i was sitting in the front seat of a double decker bus. it was drizzling when i took this pix. u get v nice views sometimes when u r sitting high and all. things u dun see when u r comfortably in a car or taxi. all that neonish lights from the traffic! pretty! talking about drizzling and rain. i like rain. when i am indoor, of coz. teehee. rain always feel so mystical and somewhat melancholy to me, like the sky is crying or something (dun mind me, pisces girls are eternally melancholy). took a couple of rainy pix when biz was slow at my aunt's shop. felt so safe and dry and protected from the downpour when i am indoor. looking at all the pple at the bus stop, i tot about where they are going, who are they, how they felt in this rainy day etc.. have you ever wondered about another's person's life? how would it be like if you are someone else? i like being myself, no doubt, but how would it be like to be someone else for a day? pretty intriguing eh... no doubt i would be thrilled to be a f rich woman for just 24hours in my life! pardon the material girl in me :P

speaking of weather.. pretty f hot these days isn't it? damn.. is the world coming to an end??? i sure dun wanna die anytime soon! oh god pls! i have not even play bride at least once in my life, lost 5kg and gain a 6-pack or have the joy of raising kids! i dun wanna die!!!! Boo Hoo!!!!!!! i'll be good! i promise! pple, excuse me. i dun feel v mentally sound at the moment. must be the nicotine... shall go read some cosmopolitan mag now to boost my 21st century feminine confidence, or so cosmo says that every female should deserve to have some of that!
